Terms of service.
How we work: what a quote covers, what we need on site, and where our work starts and stops. Last updated 10 October 2026.
About these terms
Bear Outdoor is a landscaping and garden care business working across Brisbane, with multi-day projects taken on between Noosa and Coolum on the northern Sunshine Coast.
These terms cover the work we do for you: landscape installation, regular landscape maintenance, hedge and tree work, garden and outdoor area clean-ups, garden waste removal, outdoor area painting, and landscape design and styling.
Where these terms and your written quote say different things, the quote wins. It is written for your job, and it sets out what is included, the price and the payment terms.
Quotes and pricing
Photos start the process. Send a few of the space and we prepare a quote. On larger jobs we come out and walk the site with you first, because a photo rarely shows the levels, the ground, or where a load of stone has to get to.
You are never charged an hourly rate. We price the job as a whole, and the quote sets out that price and what it covers.
Anything outside the quoted scope is priced separately, and we agree it with you before we start on it.
Booking and changes
A date is held once we have agreed it. If something changes on your side, tell us as early as you can and we will move it.
Weather can hold up ground work and planting. If a booked day moves because of it, we will tell you and set the next date.
On site
The garden is ours: the ground, the planting, and the care that follows it. We do not take on built or structural work, and we do not trench, bore post holes, or level and grade ground. Where a job calls for that, we will say so early and point you to the trades who do it well.
- A clear run from the street to the work area. Stone, gravel, soil and mulch come in by the load.
- Access to water and power where the job needs it.
- People, pets and vehicles kept clear of the work area while we are there.
- Tell us about anything buried in the ground, and about any irrigation, services or cables you know of.
Plants, materials and waste
Plants and materials are natural products, so no two loads are identical. Stone, gravel, mulch and sand are supplied by the load.
Plants are living things. Once they are planted and watered in, how they go depends on irrigation, drainage, weather, pests and the care they get. We will tell you what a planting needs, and we will replace a plant that was faulty or planted badly by us.
Our work
We stand behind the work we do. If something we did is not right, tell us as soon as you notice and we will come back and put it right.
Payment
Payment terms are set out on your quote. Where a deposit is noted, it holds the date and covers materials ordered in for the job.
Invoices are payable by the date on the invoice.
Photographs and images
Any photographs you send us are used to quote and plan the work.
The photographs on this site are reference images of garden styles. They show the look, not a promise that your garden will come out identical, because every site, soil and sun position is different.
Liability
We carry out the work with care and to trade standard. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent the law allows, we are responsible for the work we carry out, and not for plants, irrigation, structures or garden features we did not install, or for damage caused by conditions we could not have seen.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
